Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is hiring for a facilities/industrial engineering leadership role to own floor-space allocation to workcenters and manage capital construction projects across Blue Origin facilities. You will lead cross-functional efforts with architects and engineering partners to size workcenters, optimize layouts, and control budgets.

The role requires 8+ years in IE and 5+ years in project management, plus strong MS Project/Excel skills and AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 8+ years of Industrial Engineering experience is required.
• 5+ years of project management experience is required.
• Experience supporting manufacturing facilities and workcenters is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the process for allocating floor space to workcenters.
• Support multiple workcenter construction projects of varying complexity, budget, and duration.
• Own intake process for capital construction projects and backlog/schedule for capital projects.
• Maintain dashboards for schedule and budget reporting of in-process projects.
• Lead workcenter programming and sizing with architects/engineering firms.
• Create flexible workcenter layouts to minimize costs and meet rate requirements.
• Assess financial viability of capital projects using Net Present Value analysis.
• Prepare memos to request funds or propose improvements.
