Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Senior Facilities Design Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design of large-scale aerospace and manufacturing facilities. You will serve as the Engineer of Record for electrical systems and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated, code-compliant designs for high-power distribution and mission-critical infrastructure.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, SKM PowerTools, and ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Active PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical design experience on facilities/building systems.
• Proven Engineer of Record on medium/large facilities projects.
• Experience with high-bay spaces, propulsion or test facilities, or mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IBC, and NFPA 70E codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for large aerospace and manufacturing facilities including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and LV systems.
• Develop drawings, specs, calculations and deliverables ensuring code compliance.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for electrical systems on applicable projects.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, mechanical, and process engineers.
• Manage external consultants and contractors and review RFIs/submittals.
• Perform load, short-circuit, arc-flash, and voltage-drop analyses.
• Support commissioning and system turnover with operations teams.
