Job summary

Los Angeles Unified School District seeks a Deputy Chief Facilities Executive to lead the Facilities Services Division, planning, organizing, and directing operations at the executive level. You will collaborate with district leaders, manage contractors and public agencies, and drive building, maintenance, and modernization programs.

The role requires a top-tier degree, extensive project leadership experience, and credentials such as PE/ CCM/ PMP or architectural licensure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, facilities planning, or construction management.
Ten years of progressively responsible experience managing large programs with construction value over $200M.
Executive or senior management experience in related construction/facilities projects.

Responsibilities

Directs and reviews the administration and operation of the Facilities Services Division through directors and staff personnel.
Represents the District in meetings with contractors, public agencies, community groups, and others.
Interprets school utilization policies, school modernization funding, and building and maintenance program regulations.
Directs and reviews personnel management, including training, safety, evaluation and discipline.
Reviews and prepares Board reports and correspondence with potential legal and financial significance.
Evaluates records and report systems and makes or recommends improvements.
