Job summary

Los Angeles Community College District is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to plan, coordinate, budget, and manage college construction and renovation projects from planning to completion. You will work with architects, engineers, and district staff to ensure projects meet budgets, schedules, and regulatory standards.

The role requires handling multiple projects, preparing budgets, and coordinating approvals, with emphasis on risk management and timely project close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field and four years of full-time, paid, professional-level experience in planning facilities or managing construction projects.
• PMP or CCM credentials may substitute for or augment the degree/experience requirements.
• Experience with project life cycle, planning and construction of educational facilities highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, budget, and manage college construction and renovation projects from planning to completion.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and District staff to develop plans and specifications.
• Develop project budgets and implement budget controls across design, construction, and equipment phases.
• Prepare project applications and seek approvals from District authorities and state offices.
• Manage multiple projects, monitor progress, and maintain District reporting.
• Assist in contract schedules, change orders, and close-out activities.
• Advise on design and construction policies, standards, and procedures.
