Job summary

Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living in Short Pump, Virginia, is seeking a Senior Manager of Facilities & Engineering to lead maintenance, engineering, and grounds services for residents and staff.

Reporting to the leadership team, you will develop budgets, implement cost-saving programs, and ensure compliance while driving operational excellence across mechanical, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems within a healthcare-focused retirement community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in facilities management with supervised staff.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.
• Certification requirements: CPMM, EPA 608, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10-Hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a cost-saving program for building operations.
• Ensure plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems operate efficiently.
• Provide training for maintenance and grounds staff on equipment.
• Ensure facilities comply with federal, state and local regulations.
• Develop annual budgets for Maintenance, Engineering, and Grounds.
• Review monthly financials and variances.
• Oversee landscaping and optimize resources while maintaining quality.
