CBRE is seeking a Chief Building Engineer for the U.S. headquarters in Redmond, WA. You will lead facilities operations, oversee building systems, preventive maintenance, budgets, and a skilled technical team on a mission-critical campus.

This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership, strategy, and innovation. You will mentor staff, manage project scopes, and drive CBRE’s RISE values while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of job-related experience.
• Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with facilities maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facilities operations for the U.S. headquarters and oversee building systems and maintenance programs.
• Track staff training, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
• Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and mentor staff across multi-discipline teams.
• Develop cost estimates for work orders, maintenance activities, and construction projects.
• Manage budgets and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Communicate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
