Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. seeks a Chief Engineer to lead facilities operations at a major Redmond campus. You’ll supervise building systems, preventive maintenance, budgets, and a skilled technical team in a mission-critical environment.

You’ll blend hands-on engineering with strategy, leadership, and innovation, driving safety, efficiency, and reliability while modeling CBRE RISE values and mentoring staff across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of job-related experience preferred or required.
• Must meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs).
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to solve unique problems with standard and innovative solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff; conduct evaluations and coaching.
• Coordinate daily team activities; set schedules and deadlines.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety procedures.
• Ensure crews have necessary information and materials to complete work on time and to high quality.
• Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, and construction projects.
• Establish and manage facilities maintenance budgets.
• Respond to emergencies and seek help when needed.
• Apply advanced methods to achieve department objectives.
• Share expertise across disciplines and coach others.
• Model CBRE RISE values and influence senior stakeholders.
