Job summary

QB Energy is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to manage and engineer project needs across water disposal, compressor stations, pipelines, and treatment facilities. You will evaluate infrastructure, lead retrofit projects, and optimize energy use while ensuring compliance with emissions standards.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and adoption of new digital tools, including AI-based software, to accelerate engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years in oil and gas production or facility operations.
• 3-5 years of hands-on I&E engineering or controls experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical equipment selection for power generation and transmission projects.
• Partner with the air emissions team to scope projects and quantify reductions.
• Deploy emerging technologies—from emissions capture to AI-assisted engineering tools—across compressors and well unloading.
• Advance low/no-emission power sources, electrification, and microturbine projects.
• Own deliverables like process simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, and electrical one-lines.
• Collaborate with production engineering to optimize infrastructure performance.
• Apply data-driven analysis to identify bottlenecks and opportunities across wells, pipelines, and compressors.
• Maintain accurate facility documentation.
• Provide I&E support for control system architecture and field instrumentation.
• Assist with power distribution procurement and coordination with electrical contractors.
• Review electrical distribution, motor controls, and control panel designs for facilities.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, telemetry, and automation issues with I&E teams.
