Job summary

QB Energy in Western Colorado is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to lead project needs across water disposal and treatment, compressor stations, pipelines, and power systems. You will evaluate existing infrastructure and manage retrofit projects, including emissions and energy efficiency improvements.

The role requires strong technical judgment, 7+ years in oil and gas, and experience with I&E engineering, control systems, and data-driven optimization.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years in oil and gas production or facility operations.
• 3-5 years of hands-on I&E engineering or controls experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPA, CDPHE, and COGCC methane/emissions regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical equipment selection for power generation and transmission projects.
• Partner with the air emissions team to scope projects and quantify reductions.
• Research and deploy emerging technologies from emissions capture to AI-assisted tools.
• Deploy low/no-emission power sources, including electrification and microturbine projects.
• Own engineering deliverables such as process simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, and one-lines.
• Collaborate with production engineering to optimize infrastructure performance.
