Are you passionate about driving innovation and efficiency in manufacturing? As a Senior Facilities Engineer - Robotics/Automation, you will be at the forefront of transforming manufacturing processes. From assembly and fabrication to logistics applications, you’ll play a pivotal role in automating and optimizing production while maintaining top-notch quality and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Be the go-to expert for all technical aspects of your assigned area, providing leadership, program management, and strategic direction.
Develop and refine preventive maintenance plans to enhance equipment reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, including PLCs, ladder logic programming, vision systems, and variable frequency drives.
Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize spare parts usage.
Design, install, test, and monitor automation systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Train and support teams in adapting to new systems and technologies.
Uphold safety protocols and drive 5S standards for operational excellence.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
5+ years of maintenance/facilities related experience.
Expertise in PLC troubleshooting, programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), and robotic systems.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Proven track record in manufacturing operations and Union trades management.
Ability to manage 24/7 operations, including occasional off-shift and weekend work.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced knowledge in robotics applications, motion planning, and offline programming.
Background in design, tooling, or new product launches is a plus.
