Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Associate, Facilities Electrical Engineer to design and oversee electrical systems for a large Salt Lake City campus. The role focuses on power distribution, lighting, tele-data, and construction documentation to support lab, manufacturing, and office spaces.

Responsibilities include estimating costs, conducting energy audits, and coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure reliability and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of related experience; graduate degree or equivalent with 0-2 years is acceptable.
Proficiency with electrical power systems design, calculations, and energy code analysis.

Responsibilities

Design power distribution systems, lighting, and tele-data for facilities projects.
Develop construction documents (drawings, specs, MasterSpec) and coordinate with disciplines.
Estimate project construction costs and perform energy audits and load analyses.
Lead electrical system maintenance activities with contractors and in-house teams.
Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies using SKM/Easy Power.
Address power quality issues and implement improvement plans.
