Job summary

Marlen International in Riverside, MO seeks an experienced Fabricator to build stainless steel food processing machinery using fabrication techniques and blueprints. The role requires reading blueprints, operating presses and CNC laser equipment, and performing maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 5 years of metal fabrication experience; laser experience required.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Computer experience required.
• Willing to work overtime, including some weekends when workload requires.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must satisfactorily pass background check, post-offer drug screen, and physical/ agility test.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment and use safe work habits.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Measure and verify dimensions using tape measure, calipers, machinist square, protractor.
• Identify, retrieve, and install the required punch based on bend radius and die based on material thickness.
• Program each program step using tonnage mode and angle mode/absolute position; operate a press brake safely.
• Knowledge of CNC laser cutting machine and other production machinery.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve operating and fabricating challenges.
• Communicate potential problems to lead/supervisor; maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Understand and maintain quality and quantity standards; seek process improvements.
• Other tasks assigned by lead or department manager.
