Job summary

You will read blueprints, set up precision machines, and fabricate tooling and jigs for one-off parts. The role requires five or more years in aircraft fabrication, strong TIG welding skills, and the ability to work with tight tolerances and independently or in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of fabrication experience, preferably in the aircraft industry.
• Must read and comprehend complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in TIG welding and working with AN fittings and aircraft fastening tools.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to extend hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds production tooling for fabricated parts and welded assemblies.
• Forms sheet metal parts using brake, tube bender, and hand tools with precision measuring instruments.
• Operates manual mills, lathes, drill presses and grinding equipment to perform machining and finishing operations.
• Welds, fits, and assembles components with close tolerances for prototype or production parts.
