Job summary

Machina Labs is seeking a Welder/Fitter to perform precision fabrication, fitting, assembly, and welding of complex metallic components. You will translate engineering requirements from drawings, weld symbols, GD&T and travelers to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper fit-up.

This hands-on role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, and Production to scale manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and can work independently while aligning with established

Qualifications

• Experience welding, fitting, fabrication or related precision manufacturing.
• Hands-on fabrication and mechanical assembly skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, GD&T and work instructions.
• Accurate measurement, layout, fit, alignment and assembly of complex components.
• Experience using welding equipment, hand/power tools, fixtures and measurement instruments.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume environment and follow controlled procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, weld symbols and GD&T.
• Perform precision layout, cutting, forming, fitting, welding and assembly of metallic components.
• Set up welding equipment and purge systems; maintain cleanliness and traceability.
• Inspect work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality; troubleshoot issues.
