Job summary

Sanmina Fremont, located in Silicon Valley, is seeking a motivated Senior Fabrication Quality Manager to lead the QA team in metal fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly. You will define quality standards, develop PFMEAs, control plans, and drive NCR/CAPA processes, ensuring product quality from NPI through production.

You'll mentor staff, manage audits, and push Lean Six Sigma improvements while coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 6+ years of quality engineering leadership in manufacturing
• Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA, CAPA, RCCA, 8D
• IPC workmanship knowledge a plus
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma with DOE/SPC
• Green/Black Belt a plus
• Internal audit experience required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• ASQ QE/RE/QM certifications a plus

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance systems; staffing decisions, training and performance management
• Lead QA team in metal fabrication including turret, bending, welding, paint & assembly
• Advocate for Quality First and communicate with customers on quality issues
• Maintain and improve the site QMS (NCR, CAPA, internal audits)
• Ensure QMS compliance with ISO 9000 and other certifications
• Manage PFMEAs, process flows, and control plans for NPI and production parts
• Develop quality data and report KPIs (first pass yield, scrap, returns)
• Manage and improve supplier quality
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma manufacturing principles and CI projects
• Lead cross-functional projects with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering
• Oversee all training requirements (ESD, 5S, C-TPAT, Warehouse, Operations, Repair & FA)
