Lumentum is seeking a Senior Fab Planner to lead master production scheduling for a fast-paced III-V wafer fab in San Jose. You will translate demand into daily/weekly start plans, monitor WIP, and drive capacity improvements.

Strong communication with cross-functional teams and a proactive mindset are essential. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in semiconductor production planning, capacity modeling, forecasting, and inventory planning, plus Excel and Oracle proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations management, or related field.
• 6+ years in factory planning, production scheduling, or supply chain management.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and supply chain principles.
• Experience with production planning, capacity modeling, demand forecasting, WIP management, or inventory planning.
• Proficiency in Excel for data management, analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Oracle systems.
• Familiarity with fab scheduling, wafer lot dispatch and cycle-time management is preferred.
• Programming skills are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Create and manage the master production schedule, translating customer demand into daily and weekly wafer start plans.
• Monitor and track WIP flow to meet output plan and customer demand.
• Develop and improve fab capacity model using demand, product mix, routings, equipment capacity, and constraints.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to maximize throughput and reduce cycle time.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, production, and engineering to align plans and manage changes.
• Coordinate with purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excesses.
• Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, cycle time, inventory and inventory turns.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance planning efficiency and productivity.
