Job summary

Click Bond, Inc. in Watertown, CT is seeking an experienced Eyelet Toolmaker with 15+ years of hands-on experience to lead the development, setup, and maintenance of tools and fixtures for transfer and secondary department machines.

You will train apprentices, support engineering and quality teams, and work with various product lines. The role requires self-motivation, detail orientation, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Read and interpret sketches and mechanical drawings.
• Operate a keyboard and perform basic computer functions.
• Expert with SPC.
• Expert with a comparator and video microscope.
• Expert with manufacturing systems, MCDM and MAX.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, set-up, tryout, repair, and adjust tools, inspection gages and fixtures for transfer and secondary department machines.
• Use Tool Room equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and related attachments; ensure accuracy and safety.
• Develop complicated jobs with minimal supervision.
• Train apprentices and other toolmakers during development to production transition.
• Fill in for Production Lead when required.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to improve tools and processes.
