Job summary

Medtronic, based in Minnesota, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst, External Reporting, to support external reporting and regulatory filings. You will partner with Global Controllership, Global Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Compensation & Benefits, and business finance teams to ensure accurate, timely disclosures across the organization.

The role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and solid technical accounting knowledge within a fast-paced corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of accounting or finance experience OR advanced degree and 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support external reporting activities, including annual and quarterly SEC filings and benefit plan financial reporting.
• Develop and review financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Support quarterly earnings and other investor materials.
• Partner with Global Controllership, Global Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Compensation & Benefits, and business finance teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial information.
• Support quarterly and annual audit and review activities, serving as a liaison with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Research and evaluate accounting, disclosure, and reporting requirements and assess their impact on financial reporting processes.
• Prepare analyses and presentations for internal and executive leadership reviews.
• Lead or support special projects involving benchmarking, complex financial analysis, and implementation of new reporting requirements or tools.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting processes, controls, policy management, standardization, and overall reporting quality.
