Job summary

Pilot Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to diagnose and repair exterior signs and lighting across our locations. You will handle electrical systems, including ballasts, lamps, sockets, and fixtures, working with voltages from 120 to 480 volts, while following strict lockout/tagout procedures.

The role requires 5+ years of commercial electrical experience and a Journeyman license or equivalent; OSHA-30 certification is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ commercial electrical experience; seven years preferred.
• Experience with aerial lifts at heights of 60–80 ft; five years preferred.
• Ability to diagnose, repair exterior sign and lighting systems, including ballasts, lamps, sockets, switches, fixtures and voltages 120–480 V.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• OSHA 30 certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Exterior Signs & Lighting work orders.
• Identify problems with electrical signage and lighting; analyze issues and determine repairs (ballasts, lamps, sockets, switches, fixtures; 120–480 V).
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety protocols when working on electrical/mechanical systems.
• Complete service appointments, insert notes, and communicate with facility maintenance for repairs and installs.
• Ensure timely completion of service appointments and respond to service requests; troubleshoot and repair per industry standards.
• Report repair status to ESL supervisor and store management; provide excellent customer service onsite.
• Monitor stock to ensure required parts are available; maintain service vehicle and tools.
• Perform routine testing and calibration; ensure OSHA compliance and site safety.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and comply with safety policies; travel <75%.
