Qualifications

• Experience in export control, classification, licensing, or related trade compliance.
• Classification and licensing reviews in multinational tech, cloud, data center sectors.
• Knowledge of EAR, BIS concepts, licensing principles, and screening.
• Familiarity with FDP rules, de minimis, advanced computing controls, AI-related export issues.
• Ability to understand product architecture and compute infrastructure.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, procurement, or related stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day export control work across TikTok's products, technologies, and infrastructure, focusing on technical product counseling, classification, and licensing analysis; maintain defensible records.
• Perform end-to-end classification assessments for hardware, software, and related items, including AI and advanced computing technologies.
• Advise product, engineering, and business teams on export control implications for new products and cross-border deployments.
• Monitor BIS regulatory developments and translate changes into internal guidance and workflows.
