Job summary

AeroVironment is hiring an Export Controls Officer to serve as the subject matter expert on export classifications for assigned business units. You will lead cross-functional efforts to design for exportability and maintain classification records, reporting to the Export Controls Manager.

Your background in ITAR/EAR and military tech will support engineers, program management, and product development from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in export controls and/or a technical field.
• Expert knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and applicable regulations (CCL/USML).

Responsibilities

• Cross functional team leader for the Technical Focal Point Program (TFPP).
• Manage classification requests such as CJ, CCATS, and AO.
• Lead monthly status meetings with engineers and product line leaders.
• Support classification processes with regulatory guidance and company policies.
• Maintain and audit export control databases and records.
