Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. is seeking a Senior Expert Planning & Scheduling to lead end-to-end schedule development for data center projects. The role requires expert Primavera P6 skills, CPM knowledge, and coordination with engineering and procurement teams.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in scheduling, strong communication, and proven ability to drive schedule performance and risk management across complex programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in scheduling and project controls, preferably in data center construction.

Responsibilities

• Drives standardization of scheduling processes and oversees contracted scheduling services.
• Ensures appropriate schedule detail level for each project phase and staffing.
• Develops and maintains complex Primavera P6 schedules with WBS, logic, and constraints.
• Works with subcontractors to ensure schedule alignment, updates, and recovery.
• Supports change management, earned value, and schedule performance metrics.

The Senior Expert Planning & Scheduling is responsible for the effective execution, and management of the end-to-end integrated schedule development, coordination, and control process throughout the life cycle of Data Center projects. Enables project teams to target competitive schedule solutions and provide critical input for the project risk management process.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Drives standardization into scheduling process and directs function oversight to any contracted scheduling services
• Ensures appropriate schedule detail level is utilized based on project execution requirements and project phase
• Ensures schedules are properly loaded with project resources to facilitate effective staffing and resource density analysis
• Ensures key metrics and benchmarks (internal and external) are in place to effectively gauge schedule performance and promote continuous improvement
• Ensures the schedule supports the change management process
• Leads schedule update meetings as required
• Performs a variety of tasks associated with the development and maintenance of highly complex Primavera P6 project schedules including; WBS structure development, logic links, constraints, resource loading, progress tracking, earned value reporting, float management, etc.
• Work extensively with subcontractors ensuring schedule requirement compliance, accurate and timely updates, slippage recovery, etc.

Minimum Required

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• 10+ years of experience

Preferred

• Experience in construction industry; specific to Data Centers, clean rooms and tool installs. Design and/or construction of process or clean utility systems
• Experience working with engineering, procurement, and contractors
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
• Basic understanding of Project Controls Functions
• Thorough understanding of proven scheduling techniques and practices
• Proficient using Primavera P6
• Understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) concepts and calculations
• Experience in earned value management and the ability to audit / validate both engineering and construction progress
• Experience integrating schedule and BIM model preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
