Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an Experimental Machinist Level 3 for the 2nd shift in Irvine, CA. The candidate will fabricate prototype components through design to production, reading blueprints and operating CNC and manual lathes to meet exacting specifications.

Qualifications

• Y14.5 Blueprint Interpretation
• 5+ years CNC lathe and mill experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Knowledge of machine sequences and tool selection

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate a wide variety of machine shop equipment including CNC lathe
• Interpret complex blueprints and apply knowledge to set-up and operation
• Coordinate with outside vendors for heat treating, plating and tool purchasing
• Develop manufacturing processes and SOPs
