Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a senior finance professional to own expense management for the US Headquarters and its subsidiaries. You will consolidate expenses, partner with budget owners, and drive cost-saving initiatives while ensuring accurate, timely, and leadership-ready reporting.

You will lead monthly closes, support annual budgeting and long-range planning, and develop chargeback calculations with cross-functional teams across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of financial analysis experience, including work in the insurance, financial services or investment management industry.
• Expert knowledge of accounting/finance Expense management—budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and run a monthly expense results process.
• Partner with budget owners to review results, drivers, variances, and forecasts.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and leadership-ready outputs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
• Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses.
• Analyze monthly expense trends and investigate variances.
• Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams for timely reporting.
• Develop and maintain expense consolidation models and reporting tools.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and planning activities.
• Develop chargeback model for US Headquarter costs.
• Validate cost drivers and allocation assumptions with business leaders.
