Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a senior finance professional to own US Headquarters expense management and consolidation across subsidiaries. The role requires deep financial analysis experience and advanced budgeting/forecasting skills to drive cost efficiency.

You will partner with budget owners, analyze variances, and develop chargeback models, with a focus on accuracy and strategic decisions. Hybrid in-office work with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of financial analysis experience, including work in the insurance, financial services or investment management industry.
• Expert knowledge of accounting/finance.
• Expense management expertise – strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strategic thinker able to communicate on business/market and legislative issues at a macro level.
• Organizational and prioritization skills, and the ability to make timely decisions using the appropriate information.
• Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills to provide complex information to diverse audiences.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems.

Responsibilities

• Expense Management for US Headquarters: Build and run a recurring, reliable, transparent, and insightful monthly expense results process.
• Expense Management for US Headquarters: Partner with budget owners to review results, drivers, variances, and forecasts.
• Expense Management for US Headquarters: Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and leadership-ready outputs.
• Expense Management for US Headquarters: Partner with business leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
• Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses: Analyze monthly expense trends and investigate significant variances against budget and forecast.
• Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses: Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to ensure accurate and timely expense reporting.
• Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses: Develop and maintain expense consolidation models, reporting tools, and process documentation.
• Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Consolidation of Transamerica Inc. Expenses: Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities across subsidiaries.
• Develop and execute chargeback model for US Headquarter costs: Determine annual costs to be charged to subsidiaries versus shareholders utilizing financial modeling.
• Develop and execute chargeback model for US Headquarter costs: Partner with the Tax department to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and transfer pricing requirements.
• Develop and execute chargeback model for US Headquarter costs: Collaborate with business unit leaders to validate cost drivers and allocation assumptions.
• Develop and execute chargeback model for US Headquarter costs: Prepare annual chargeback calculations, supporting schedules, and executive-level summaries.
