Job summary

JRAD is seeking a Senior Expeditionary Engineer to support the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command.

This telework role includes frequent travel and extended onsite support to ATEC Test Centers. You will design, deploy, and sustain expeditionary networks, develop deployable architectures, and lead field installations while ensuring DoD cybersecurity requirements and interoperability across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in network engineering or expeditionary communications.
• Experience designing, deploying, configuring, or supporting networks in remote or distributed environments.
• Experience with DoD, U.S. Army, federal government, or mission-critical networks.
• Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140-related qualification.
• CCNA, Network+ or equivalent networking certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, deploy, configure, and sustain expeditionary networks for Army mission tests.
• Develop rapidly deployable network architectures with wireless, RF, wired Ethernet, and fiber.
• Conduct RF site surveys, spectrum assessments, and wireless coverage optimization.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless APs, antennas, and related equipment.
• Engineer secure, interoperable, resilient networks with redundancy and mission continuity.
• Lead installation, integration, testing, and validation of expeditionary networks per specs and cyber requirements.
• Provide senior technical guidance to junior engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.
