Job summary

JRAD in Belcamp, MD is hiring a Senior Expeditionary Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain expeditionary communications networks for U.S. Army test and evaluation missions. The role is telework with frequent travel and extended onsite support to ATEC Test Centers.

The position requires 8+ years in network engineering, RF systems, and DoD environments, along with CCNA/Network+ credentials. You will lead field deployments, develop secure architectures, and provide mentorship to junior engineers

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
8+ years of network engineering or expeditionary communications experience.
Experience in operational remote or distributed environments.
Experience with DoD/Army or federal government networks.
Active DoD 8140-compliant credentials or Security+ CE preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and sustain expeditionary communications networks for Army test missions.
Develop rapidly deployable network architectures with RF, wireless, Ethernet, and fiber.
Conduct RF site surveys, spectrum analyses, and interference assessments.
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless APs, antennas, and related equipment.
Lead installation, testing, and validation of network systems with cybersecurity compliance.
Provide senior guidance to junior engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.
