Veeda Lifesciences is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Executive US Business Developer based on the East Coast US to lead our global growth agenda. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving revenue, expanding market presence, and building long-term client partnerships within the CRO space, with a strong emphasis on Oncology.

Job overview:
As Senior Executive US Business Developer, you will define and execute global growth strategies, identify new market opportunities, and build strong client relationships. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s commercial success by aligning business development initiatives with long-term strategic goals.
Main responsibilities:
- Partner with the COO to define and execute long-term business development strategies
- Identify new markets, regions, and therapeutic opportunities (with a focus on Oncology)
- Drive pipeline growth and conversion through structured, agile planning
- Contribute to bid defenses and proposal strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Business Development Execution
- Lead data-driven decision-making using market insights, competitor analysis, and performance data
- Oversee CRM-driven pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce) for transparency and efficiency
- Ensure high-quality, timely RFP and proposal submissions
- Represent the organization at global industry events and conferences
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Drive account-based strategies to improve client retention and satisfaction
- Lead proactive engagement initiatives such as business reviews and growth planning
Governance & Process Excellence
- Establish standardized BD processes, costing models, and proposal frameworks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (ICH GCP), SOPs, and quality systems
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing business development team
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
- Support talent development, recruitment, and capability building
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or Finance (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of experience, including at least 5 years managing accounts in the CRO industry with major Hem-Onc, Oncology, and Multiple Myeloma experience
- Strong expertise in Oncology, including Hem-Onc and Multiple Myeloma
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing global clients
- Advanced CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and pipeline management
- Strong financial acumen with data-driven decision-making capability
- Expertise in proposal development and market research
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, including ICH GCP
- Strategic mindset with a strong execution focus
