AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an Executive Underwriter for its Specialty Casualty underwriting team.

You will underwrite, analyze risk, price, and negotiate for higher-hazard liability exposures in both admitted and E&S spaces. The role focuses on new business development, broker relationships, and profitability, with emphasis on construction, products liability, hospitality and distressed premises exposures.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in the industry with 10+ years in Excess and Surplus lines for higher-hazard risks.
• Strong knowledge of construction, products liability, hospitality and distressed premises.
• BA/BS degree preferred; CPCU or similar designation preferred.
• Ability to price, assess risk and negotiate contracts for non-admitted and E&S exposure.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of hard-to-place liability risks per E&S guidelines.
• Develop risk pricing by analyzing exposures and claims history with pricing tools.
• Lead new business development and broker management within the book of business.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal and claims to drive product development and profitability.
• Travel up to 25% as needed to manage territory and opportunities.
