Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies seeks a senior leader to drive DoD/IC advanced R&D programs in electromagnetics, sensing, and SAR technologies. You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, craft strategic proposals, and align technical milestones with program goals.

This role emphasizes clear communication, leadership, and the ability to translate research into funded demonstrations. You will engage with government sponsors, manage complex programs, and shape the next generation of national security

Qualifications

• Advanced STEM degree with extensive relevant experience.
• Experience building nationally competed advanced research and development programs.
• Experience managing interdisciplinary teams facing significant technical and programmatic risks.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Experience writing and reviewing classified government technical specifications and generating system performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Estimate system performance using Bayesian and non-Bayesian methods.
• Develop and apply detection techniques (Neyman-Pearson, ROC analysis) for DoD/IC applications.
• Lead projects on electromagnetic systems including SAR, RF edge processing, and phased arrays.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to deliver demonstrations and firsts in R&D.
• Pursue funding from government agencies to advance national security objectives.
