Job summary

RTX is seeking a Portfolio Area Chief Engineer (PACE) to steer engineering cost, schedule, and technical execution across the Electronic Warfare Systems portfolio. The role reports to the EWS Chief Engineer and oversees Chief Engineers, shaping roadmaps for EW RF subsystems and leading new business development efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree with 12+ years of experience, including airborne systems design and cross-site leadership. DoD Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in airborne systems design, use‑case development, and system qualification.
• Experience leading proposals and multi-site cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across the EW portfolio and oversee Chief Engineers.
• Lead engineering execution, including cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps for EW RF subsystems.
• Engage with customers and ensure alignment on technical requirements.
