Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors and staff on the night shift. You will perform dusting, mopping, disinfection and floor care while following infection control procedures and safety guidelines.

The role requires 1–2 years of healthcare environmental service experience, ability to work independently, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of diversified environmental service work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of operating typical industrial cleaning equipment.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for some Banner locations.

Responsibilities

• Dust, mop, scrub, disinfect, vacuum, and polish according to department policy.
• Sterilize procedural rooms and perform terminal cleaning of operating rooms.
• Maintain infection control standards and hand hygiene compliance.
• Operate and maintain power cleaning equipment and perform floor care tasks.
• Provide leadership and training support to less experienced staff.
