Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Marketing Manager, Events and Tradeshows to lead planning and strategy for major US trade shows and events. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across lines of business and manage outside agencies to ensure brand-consistent execution.

You’ll organize ROI, budgets, calendars and workflows, guide a team for large-scale events, and drive end-to-end event experiences that showcase Samsung offerings while aligning with brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in event and tradeshow management.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of trade show activities and venues.
• Expertise in managing projects of large scale with multiple stakeholders, including time and budget management.
• Ability to work independently or with a team and lead a small team for major events.
• PM acumen to lead cross functional work streams for timely execution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
• Up to 50% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute major trade shows and events.
• Lead 10+ major events per year and 5–10 smaller events.
• Determine execution plans at tradeshows and events to demonstrate Samsung offerings within brand guidelines.
• Establish and manage ROI, timelines, budgets and workflows to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Support the development of the annual strategic event calendar based on divisional direction.
• Organize multiple stakeholders including Marketing, PR, HQ and Management as necessary for each event.
• Identify and manage internal and external services including vendors, event management, travel, freight and logistics.
• Communicate internally and externally to ensure participation across the organization and with customers.
• Make regular decisions on vendor management, exhibit design, budget management and overall show execution.
• Lead full strategy for Major US Tradeshows and manage asset storage.
• Strategize costs, funding, asset inventory and reduction plans.
