Job summary

Maritz seeks an experienced event management leader to oversee operations across markets and accounts. You will mentor a multidisciplinary team, manage budgets and compliance, and ensure client satisfaction while coordinating training and processes to drive efficiency.

The role is hybrid, based in Cincinnati, OH or Santa Clara, CA with 25–30% travel, and requires 3–5 years in meetings/events plus accounting exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of meetings/events experience, including incentive travel.
• 1–2 years in compliance and/or accounting functions.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience managing budgets and financial oversight.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work with all levels of an organization and external partners.
• Nice to have: global travel or hospitality industry experience.
• Certifications such as PMP, CMP, CIS, CITP, HMCC, or DES are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach Event Management team across markets and types.
• Coordinate regular team meetings, onboarding, and training.
• Oversee labor, time tracking, and invoicing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide event management support for target accounts, including project oversight.
• Ensure adherence to workflows and client SOPs for consistency.
• Review and audit team transactions; deliver monthly/quarterly reports.
• Support new initiatives and continuous improvement across the organization.
