Kansas Speedway, located in Kansas City, KS, seeks a Senior Manager, Special Events to lead planning and execution of race-weekend and non-race events. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring contractual requirements are fulfilled and guest experiences exceed expectations.

The role requires five+ years in event management or related field, with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in event management or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of race-weekend and non-race events from planning through completion.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Coordinate scheduling, site plans, checklists, and event materials.
• Oversee invoicing, expenses, and client billing.
• Collaborate with marketing for community and track events.
• Liaise with Levy for race-weekend menus and setup.
