Job summary

Texas A&M University–Kingsville (TAMUK) seeks an Events Coordinator II to plan, market, and execute high-quality events through the King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management. The role serves as the primary liaison with clients before, during, and after events, ensuring a smooth, successful experience for all participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of related experience in event planning and marketing, including related supervisory experience.
• Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or agricultural organization preferred.
• Experience coordinating logistics such as catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and lodging.
• Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event platforms (Zoom Webinars, Microsoft Teams).
• Working knowledge of graphic design or marketing tools for event promotion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and market large events and conferences, including scheduling, receiving/processing space requests, contract negotiation, registrations, and service requirements and deliveries.
• Engages in event promotion on print, electronic, and social media platforms.
