Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong judgment, decision-making and problem recognition and resolution skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities with diverse populations.
• Experience coordinating with venues, vendors, caterers, and facilities staff to ensure successful events.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience with event budgeting, purchasing, and reimbursements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events and logistics for UC Berkeley and partner sites, ranging from 10 to 1000 attendees.
• Manage facilities, registration systems, catering, equipment, staffing, travel, and other logistics.
• Identify and negotiate with venues, vendors, and services; maintain contracts and ensure vendor performance.
• Troubleshoot logistical issues and ensure smooth event execution.
• Plan and implement MPS Dean’s Office events, Shining Lights, and Berkeley Quantum activities.
• Maintain participant and donor data; generate reports and conduct evaluations.
