Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Lab Scientist for the evening shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM). This role performs tests under CLIA guidelines, ensures accurate results, and supports patient care through meticulous laboratory work.

Starting pay is $36.76/hour with additional differentials and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. The department emphasizes quality control, documentation, and teamwork to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences required.
• ASCP licensure (MLT/MT/MLA/Histologists) required.
• 3–5 years of lab experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing and reporting results.
• Maintain records proving proficiency testing samples are tested like patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Follow corrective action policies when tests are out of spec.
• Identify and report problems affecting test performance or results.
• Document corrective actions for deviations in test systems.
