Job summary

Canoo is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to drive component testing and validation for cutting‑edge electric vehicle drive units. You will execute test plans, correlate results, and collaborate with CAE, design, and system engineers to deliver integrated drive unit assemblies with electric traction motors, geartrains, cooling, and power electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of automotive powertrain development and validation experience.
• Experience with motor and vehicle test equipment and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Validate motor performance and efficiency with dynamometers.
• Support motor analysis and inverter calibration through motor tests.
• Set up, calibrate and troubleshoot test cell equipment.
• Correlate life testing to life predictions and refine models.
• Post‑process results and provide design recommendations for durability and efficiency.
