Canoo is seeking a Battery Pack Test Engineer to join the Propulsion group. You will lead electrical and mechanical testing of battery cells, modules, and packs, interfacing with other engineering disciplines to deliver reliable battery solutions for vehicle production.

Responsibilities include developing test plans, creating automated scripts, analyzing data, and supporting cross-functional teams. Travel up to 25% may be required. This is a full-time on-site role in the United States.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical/Software or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Battery System Development.
• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Self-starter; able to work independently.
• Experience with vehicle communication protocols CAN, LIN and isoSPI.

Aufgaben

• Test battery cells and modules (Electrical and Mechanical).
• Test Battery Pack design components including Battery Disconnect Units and DC/DC Converter.
• Support battery testing activities: Performance, Reliability, Safety, and Regulatory Tests.
• Develop detailed test plans based on specs and industry standards.
• Create automated test scripts to validate battery features and functions.
• Record and analyze test data; support root cause analysis.
• Develop in-house software and hardware tools to monitor battery systems during testing.
• Design test harnesses and test stand concepts; prepare fabrication drawings and instrumentation lists.
• Specify data collection requirements and ensure test setups gather data; correlate life testing to life predictions.
