Job summary

Canoo, a developer of innovative EV solutions, is seeking a Propulsion System Controls Test Engineer in Oklahoma City. You will plan and execute testing for propulsion systems on HIL benches and in-vehicle environments, developing Python scripts to automate tests and ensuring requirements coverage for propulsion control features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software, electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HIL tools and test automation.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink and GT-Suite.
• Familiarity with EV propulsion systems and vehicle electrical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute test cases for propulsion systems on HIL and in-vehicle.
• Specify and plan installation of test equipment and facilities.
• Develop scripts to automate HIL test systems using Python.
• Verify propulsion controls features before software is deployed to vehicles.
• Create test-to-requirements coverage matrices for propulsion features.
• Automate test cases and environments for lights-out testing.
• Support debugging of software issues at HIL bench and vehicle level.
