Job summary

Terawatt Infrastructure seeks a Systems Quality Engineer to own quality standards for high‑power EV charging systems. You will define tests, measure performance, and drive fixes with engineering and operations.

This role collaborates with vendors to resolve defects and ensures lab validations match field deployments. The position requires 5+ years in quality or systems engineering in power electronics or EV charging, with hands-on debugging of ISO 15118‑2/20, DIN 70121, and OCPP protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in high‑voltage and low‑power electrical systems.
• Hands-on debugging of EV/EVSE communications (ISO 15118‑2/20, OCPP).
• Experience with CCS, NACS, MCS standards.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain quality standards for charging systems, uptime, fault rates, and session success.
• Contribute to product-driven engineering culture with diverse ideas.
• Analyze field performance data to identify systemic failures and prioritize fixes.
• Develop QA testing standards focusing on protocols and system logs.
• Perform root cause analysis using tools like Wireshark and .pcap files.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve firmware and hardware defects.
• Ensure lab-to-site validation aligns field deployments to reduce risks.
• Develop inspection protocols for new site commissioning and SOPs for labs.
• Coordinate logistics for test units with operations and field teams.
• Contribute to quality and reliability planning for energy management systems.
