Job summary

Proterra is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for the Validation Engineering team to support testing of our battery products and components. You will uphold safety standards for high-voltage testing and collaborate with engineering, service, and manufacturing groups to ensure product readiness before launch.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in related field preferred.
• Experience with EVs, heavy equipment or automotive repair required.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and CAN diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high safety standards for HV battery test work (LOTO, PPE).
• Support validation tests at pack and component levels.
• Assist with data collection and preparation of test reports.
• Perform minor repairs or setup on battery test equipment.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance of shop tools and fixtures.
• Document repairs, updates and failed parts; travel to remote test sites as needed.
