Job summary

University of Vermont is seeking a Senior Microsoft EUC Engineer to manage endpoint technologies across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud Microsoft 365 services. You will focus on modern device management via Intune, Autopilot, and Entra, supporting UVM's faculty and staff.

Responsibilities include administering Microsoft infrastructure in a large‑scale 24x7 data center, scripting with PowerShell, and shaping future EUC solutions such as VDI with VMware Horizon and AppsAnywhere.

Qualifications

• Five years of systems administration in a large Microsoft environment; degree or equivalent experience.
• Expertise with EUC, including MDM deployment, onboarding, patching, and policy.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 services and Windows Server/AD in highly available environments.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell and familiarity with Entra services.
• Knowledge of security and network debugging; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft infrastructure in a 24x7 data center environment.
• Support Intune, Entra, Autopilot, SCCM/MDT, and Windows Server ecosystems.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to maintain and enhance UVM systems.
• Evaluate and deploy next‑gen EUC solutions and VDI (VMware Horizon).
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure secure, reliable endpoints.
