Job summary

RCT Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support a large technical program in Reston, VA. You will develop in Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript, build REST APIs, and work with AWS/EC2 and deployment scripts.

You will also create ETL solutions, perform testing, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers within an Agile team. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, along with significant experience and a BS degree.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• BS degree plus 16+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Angular/TypeScript, and AWS expertise.
• Experience translating customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Selenium, and Rundeck.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize legacy applications.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript applications.
• Build and consume REST APIs.
• Work with AWS/EC2 and write deployment/configuration scripts.
• Develop custom ETL solutions.
• Perform unit testing, peer reviews, and automated testing with Selenium.
• Work with Git, Jenkins, Rundeck, and Red Hat Linux command line.
• Follow Agile/Scrum processes.
• Document solutions and mentor junior developers.
