GTR Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead large-scale electrical utility infrastructure estimates for projects exceeding $3 million. You will oversee the estimating process, evaluate scope, costs, risks, and contingencies, and coordinate pre-bid activities to deliver competitive bids.

You will mentor junior estimators, drive accuracy improvements, and ensure smooth handoffs to operations and scheduling teams on transmission, distribution, and substations projects.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of estimating experience including leadership of large-scale projects.
• Strong background in electrical utility construction including transmission, distribution, and substations.
• Experience with bottom-up estimating, cost analysis, risk assessment, and conceptual budgeting.
• Proficiency in Blue Sheets or comparable estimating software, with knowledge of Spectrum, P6, and other industry tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
• Experience with BESS, data center electrical infrastructure, or utility/government bids is a plus.
• AACEI CEP or CCP certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead comprehensive cost estimates for major utility infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate project scope, productivity rates, risks, and contingencies to develop accurate, competitive bids.
• Coordinate pre-bid meetings, site visits, vendor pricing, and technical clarifications.
• Manage project estimate handoffs to operations, project management, and scheduling teams.
• Analyze estimated versus actual project costs to improve estimating accuracy and processes.
• Mentor junior estimators and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.
