Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Seattle area seeks a Senior Estimator (Top Secret/SCI) to lead cost estimation and pricing for spaceflight systems. The role supports government and commercial bids, IR&D costs, and multi-line programs across liquid propulsion, launch services, lunar missions, and in-space applications.

You will develop BOEs, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor others while ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and related regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.
8+ years of experience in estimation and pricing.
Understanding of FAR, DFARS, NFS and related regulations.
Ability to read RFPs, SOWs and cost documents.
Expertise in cost estimates, proformas and business models.
Strong process improvement orientation.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, collaborate, develop, review, and present cost estimates in compliance with requirements.
Support proposal activities for commercial and government customers.
Develop cost estimates for IR&D efforts.
Prepare cost estimates across product lines (liquid rocket propulsion, suborbital/ orbital launch, lunar landing, in-space applications).
Perform concurrent estimating with various stakeholders and scope definitions.
Write Basis of Estimate (BOE) narratives.
Collaborate with cost professionals to deliver high-quality estimates.
Contribute to estimating practices and processes as Blue Origin grows.
