Job summary

GDI Services Inc US is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the development of detailed estimates for complex commercial facility maintenance bids. Based in the United States and working remotely, you will analyze RFPs, specs, site information, labor, materials, subcontractors, and risks to deliver complete bid packages and pricing recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination will be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive estimating experience within commercial janitorial/complex service contracts.
• Demonstrated player-coach leadership, guiding a dispersed estimation team.
• Experience estimating janitorial, facility maintenance, or labor-intensive service programs.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and cost structure knowledge.
• Ability to interpret complex proposals, specs, drawings, and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for complex commercial facility maintenance bids and renewals.
• Act as hands-on leader for the U.S. Estimation team, coaching and coordinating workload.
• Review RFPs, scopes, drawings, and site data to identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop labor models, rates, payroll burdens, and staffing patterns for proposals.
• Prepare complete cost models including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Lead estimate reviews and quality-control to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Develop bid narratives, assumptions, and pricing schedules for proposals.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and senior leadership on strategy.
• Coordinate with Operations on staffing, schedules, and service delivery concepts.
• Manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and communication with stakeholders.
