Job summary

GDI Integrated Facility Services seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the development of detailed, competitive cost estimates for commercial facility maintenance bids across the United States. You will analyze proposals, site conditions, labor, materials, and subcontractors while guiding a dispersed estimation team and coordinating with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement.

The role is remote within the United States, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive estimating experience in commercial janitorial industry.
• Demonstrated player-coach leadership guiding a dispersed U.S. Estimation team.
• Experience estimating janitorial, facility maintenance, or labor-intensive service programs.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas, data analysis, pivot tables, scenario modeling, QC techniques.
• Strong understanding of labor planning, wage structures, materials, equipment, overhead, escalation, and margins.
• Ability to interpret complex proposals, specs, drawings, and contract terms.
• Excellent written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for complex commercial facility maintenance bids and renewals.
• Act as a hands-on leader for the U.S. Estimation team, guiding priorities and coaching members.
• Review proposals, scopes, drawings, and site data to identify cost drivers and risks.
• Develop labor models with rates, scheduling, and payroll burdens.
• Prepare complete cost models including labor, materials, equipment, overhead, and contingencies.
• Visit sites, validate data, and document clarifications to the estimate.
• Lead review and QC checks for pricing accuracy and alignment with requirements.
• Create bid narratives and schedules for proposals.
