Job summary

Forgen is a geotechnical and specialty civil construction company seeking a Senior Estimator to develop and prepare cost estimates for projects across North America. This office‑based role may require frequent travel and offers remote options, with a strong emphasis on accurate quantity takeoffs, risk assessment, and collaboration with the capture team.

The Senior Estimator will lead bidding efforts, coordinate with stakeholders and vendors, and ensure competitive, compliant proposals using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years estimating experience in heavy‑civil or geotechnical fields is preferred.
• Experience with Primavera/MS Project for scheduling.
• Experience with Bid2Win/B2W, HCSS or similar estimating software.
• Experience with quantity takeoff tools such as Agtek or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and organize submittals for bidding.
• Coordinate with capture team to identify resources and risks.
• Develop and maintain cost databases and historical rate information.
• Review drawings, specs, and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare high-level proposal schedules and manage bid deadlines.
• Mentor estimating staff and interns.
